Volunteers

The Cancer Center is deeply indebted to the volunteers who work thousands of hours each year to benefit patients. Volunteers work in the lobby, in offices, or on events. Descriptions of volunteer duties are:

Patient Assistance Volunteer: Assist patients with wheelchairs and parking passes to ease the flow of traffic at the Center. Four hour shifts, mornings or afternoons. Help is also needed on a substitute basis.

Waiting Room Volunteer: Greet patients as they arrive for appointments, serve coffee, help with admission forms, etc. Four hour shifts, mornings or afternoons. Help is also needed on a substitute basis.

 

Clerical/Office Volunteer: Light data entry, typing, filing, copying, assisting in regular office duties. Work in any one of several departments. Flexible schedule, anytime between the hours of 8am - 5pm

Monday -Friday.

Event Support: Help the day of the event.  Events include Viva La Vida, Cancer Center Walk/Run and the Barbara Ireland Walk for the Cure of Breast Cancer.
