Cancer Resource Library
The Cancer Resource
Library is a free service available to patients, their families
and anyone looking for reliable and current information about
all aspects of cancer. We believe that knowledge about cancer
helps patients and their loved ones as they navigate the period
of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. We offer a warm and
supportive learning environment for patients and their families
in all stages of survivorship. If you find that you don’t
have time to
do your own research, or would like assistance in finding
information, our staff is available to answer your
questions and
help you to locate resources. You can request information
in person, on the phone or by email.
Our holdings cover specific cancers and their treatments,
cancer prevention, coping and inspirational resources, complementary
therapies, nutrition, caregiving,
children’s needs and end of life care. Library resources include:
- 400+ books and tapes to check out
- Medical reference books
- Free brochures and pamphlets (both in English and Spanish)
- Computers with Internet access and links to cancer-specific
Web sites
- On-line cancer education materials
- Free research assistance
If you would like to check out materials from the Cancer Resource
Library, please stop by, call or email us. Books and tapes can
be borrowed from the
Cancer Resource
Library for two weeks. Click here if you would like to search our collection. Catalog
