Financial Assistance & Counseling
If you are undergoing cancer treatment and are experiencing financial hardship due to lack of insurance coverage, low reimbursement, disability or unemployment, there are programs that can help. The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara Support Services staff can help to determine if patients qualify for assistance programs such as private foundations, free pharmaceuticals, co-pay assistance programs, cancer-specific funds, and other programs. Many funds assist with living expenses, as well as expenses related to cancer treatment. To find out more, please contact the Support Services department at (805) 682-7300 or toll free at (877) 755-7300. Financial counseling is available free of charge by phone or by office visit. For a list of the treatment- related financial aid programs available, please see the Financial Assistance & Health Insurance Programs Guide provided by the Support Services department. For a list of Disability income programs please go the Support Services Disability page.
If you are receiving treatment at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara and are having difficulty with your bill, you may apply for assistance through the Cancer Center Charity Care program. Eligibility is based on residence and income. Please download an application in English or Spanish and submit it with appropriate documentation to the Support Services department.
