Getting to and from cancer treatment can become a hardship for some, especially for the elderly or disabled. The Support Services staff has a listing of local transportation providers, and they can assist patients in making ride arrangements. Below is a brief listing of some common transportation providers. Air Travel
Angel Flight (888) 426-2643
 Angel Flight provides free air transportation for medical treatments. A referral by a social worker is required.

Driving Services
American Cancer Society (800) ACS-2345
This is a program of the American Cancer Society in which volunteer drivers provide cancer patients transportation to and from their scheduled medical appointments, free of charge. This organization also offers limited financial assistance with lodging and gas costs to cancer treatment.

American Medical Response (866) 889-8422
AMR is contracted with Medi-Cal through the Santa Barbara Regional Health Authority to provide non-emergency medical and wheelchair transport within Santa Barbara County to eligible members.

Help of Carpinteria (805) 684-0065
Help of Carpinteria is a volunteer-run organization that provides rides from Carpinteria to Santa Barbara for medical appointments. The cost is $6 roundtrip.

Help of Ojai (805) 646-5122
 Help of Ojai is a volunteer-run organization that provides rides from Ojai to Santa Barbara for medical appointments. Call for prices.

Bus and Shuttle Service
Breeze Bus- (800) 417-2137 (Santa Maria to Lompoc)
Fixed route bus that runs from Santa Maria to Lompoc roundtrip. Cost is $2 each way or $1 for seniors and disabled.

COLT Van (805) 736-7666 (Lompoc to Santa Barbara)
The COLT Van runs from Lompoc to Santa Barbara roundtrip for medical appointments, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $8 roundtrip.

Clean Air Express- (805) 961-8920 (From Santa Maria/Lompoc/Solvang to SB)
Transports Monday - Friday from Santa Maria and Lompoc. Arrives in morning and departs in the afternoon. Must have pass to board. Passes purchased at Santa Barbara Transit Center, Albertsons in Lompoc or Santa Maria Area Transit Center. Cost is $7 individual pass and $150/ calendar month pass.

SMOOTH Van (805) 928-5624 (Santa Maria to Santa Barbara)
The Santa Maria Area Transit provides this van that travels from Santa Maria to Santa Barbara for medical appointments. The van runs 1st & 3rd Monday, 2nd & 4th Tuesday, and every Thursday and Friday. Cost is between $6-$2 roundtrip.  This service will pick up from your home and drop you off at your medical appointment.

Vista Coastal Express (800) 438-1112 (Ventura/Santa Barbara)
The Vista Coastal Express is a bus that travels daily from Ventura to Santa Barbara. Cost is $3 each way.
