Research is the strongest weapon we have in winning the war against cancer. Through research, we systematically identify new targets and therapies to attack cancer cells.

The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara's research program supports advances in the fight against cancer through three primary areas of involvement: clinical research, basic science research, and education. Through these focus areas, the research department aims to make an impact on cancer at every opportunity— from molecular level research in the laboratory, to new drug therapies in the clinic, to educational programming that reports on the latest findings in cancer research.
