Departments & Programs

The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara provides medical care in three departments: Radiation Oncology, Hematology/Medical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine. We are the sole provider of radiation therapy in Santa Barbara County. Our medical departments are complemented by our Research Program which provides patients with local access to a wide variety of clinical trials and state-of-the art care.

In addition to providing medical care, the Cancer Center Support Services Department employs social workers who offer a wide range of support services to anyone dealing with cancer in our community. Offering support groups and counseling, transportation to treatments, or financial assistance, the Support Services staff is here to help patients and families with the emotional and practical aspects of a cancer diagnosis.

The Cancer Center's comprehensive Wellness Program reflects our commitment to providing support, reducing stress, and enhancing quality of life for those dealing with cancer. Services include yoga, nutritional counseling and workshops, hereditary cancer risk counseling, exercise programs and much more. Our Cancer Resource Library provides a place for healthcare professionals as well as patients and family members to obtain accurate, reliable medical information. In addition, we offer a wide variety of cancer prevention programs aimed at reducing cancer risk in our community.

We offer our services in a climate of ever-increasing demands on health care. The Cancer Center meets this challenge with a committed staff, strong community support and true belief in its mission.
