Cancer Information
If you or a loved one has received a diagnosis of cancer, you may feel overwhelmed, and may have many pressing questions. One powerful tool to guide you in your journey through cancer is knowledge. Becoming informed can give you confidence, comfort, and a sense of control throughout your treatment.
In this section we offer the latest information on many aspects of cancer, including treatment, recovery, screening, and prevention. Most of the information in this section is created by the National Cancer Institute, a highly regarded source of current, accurate health information.
In addition to the information you can access from this part of our website, we encourage you to visit our Cancer Resource Library for your information needs. At the library you'll find an extensive collection of resources, and perhaps most importantly, our experienced librarian to help you identify and select appropriate resources. The library is located next to the lobby at our 540 West Pueblo Street office.
At the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, we encourage patients and family members to become informed, and to take an active role in their own care.
